Living and Building a home in the heart of France
27th October 2006
On a stunning autumn day and with an hour to idle away in Bellac, we wandered down to the river.
This part of the town is just lovely, peaceful away from the traffic. The riverside path meanders through a well-kept park with many huge trees, the ancient bridge leads to a recently opened café with a waterside terrace. How civilised!
Bellac is a nice old town, and will be even better when the new by-pass, due to be finished in 2007, keeps the juggernauts out.
Chocolate-b ox picture perfect. It makes me want to take up painting...
We resolve to come here more often.
