My brother and his partner was also over here for two weeks hard labour on renovations to their own place, so we all met up at the Producers' Market in Le Dorat. My Mum comes with her younger sister Glenna to stay for a week in our gîte. Despite two wet days, the weather was generally kind, even warm enough for a swim.
A trip to the weekly market in Montmorillon was followed by lunch on the terrace at the wonderful Crêperie.
steak or sausages or duck-breast or kebab barbequed while you watch, for eating at the tables set up in front of the Collegiale in the square. This market's put on every 2 weeks during the summer and is not to be missed.
Not great for vegetarians, though, so we all went for a fab meal at the Café Français instead.
