A bright and freezing winter's day in Blond at the Christmas market. It's huge and busy, selling all kinds of gifts, artisan products, clothes and local food. We bought honey roasted nuts, shallot covered goats cheese, a chunk of mountain cheese, chocolate brioches, and a loaf of apple and cider bread. Do we eat well?

This event is traditionally the Capon Fair and they still sell fowl of many kinds, including alive, plucked and frozen varieties, no doubt destined for the Christmas dinner table.
This strange creature the size of our cat, is a goat. His owners were selling sweets to raise money to feed their goats. They said.
