Living and Building a home in the heart of France
5th June 2005
We've done as much as we can for now. Tony's done the electrical connections and it's all plumbed up. On Thursday Matt's coming back to lay the smooth floor screed and then we need to wait for Waterair's technicians to come and fit the liner. Those arrangements are in hand... hope we don't have to wait long!
So, not wanting to miss the Limousin summer by working all the time, we accept an invitation from friends to a picnic by Lake St. Pardoux, not far from here. It's a beautiful uncrowded place, the weather was gorgeous.
Two drummers drumming.
A day by the lakeside, with seven of us big kids, plus five younger kids, plus two dogs.
Me and Mel
Lunch cooked on the campfire included fried eggs and a tagine full of vegetables, salad and baguette, bubbly and beer.
The dogs wore themselves out fetching sticks in the lake
The boules are out.
