View from the hammock
It's taken a while, but we finally got round to hanging up the old orange hammock chair under the hornbeam tree at the bottom of our garden. In the dappled shade, it gives a great view of the pool, the lawn and the potager, the veggie patch currently lush with produce.
Of course Tony's still got his own hammock, perfect for relaxing and listening to music on the iPod. Well, it's too hot for weeding when the sun's shining, what else can you do?
And those of us with fur coats find it all just too much. All the furry friends find cool places to stretch out all day, magically appearing around dinnertime.
In spite of recent cool weather, the pool's still around 28 degrees C.. very nice. A family of swallows comes swooping and dipping into the pool every day, for a drink. Delightful.
