The Big Chill
Just as we thought the winter might have slipped away, the temperatures plummet and we're treated to a light sprinkling of soft, powder snow. As it fell slowly, it didn't settle on the roads, so didn't cause any problems, only transformed the countryside into wintry white. Then the skies cleared and the light levels rose to a dazzling level.
Below, the old abandoned mill on the Brame river, seen from the old stone bridge.
The view down to the Gartempe valley, just across the road from our place.
Tony's expression gives you an idea of just how C.O.L.D. it was down by the river.
