It's been a while since I've cooked a dinner for ten, but the Saturday before Christmas seemed like as good a time as any. We strung up the lights, we heaved the garden table in and rearranged the furniture, making a snug with sofas in what's normally the dining room, and a long table in the lounge all dressed in blue and silver. The meal was planned with precision and executed with time to spare! It was wonderful to have our house filled with friends in festive spirit. Next day budding vegetarian Colin asked for a copy of the menu and two recipes, so I'm guessing he enjoyed the meal!
