Company Dinner
While the kitties love to be outside, at sunrise they're soon at the bedroom window asking to come back into the warm. Nice view, eh?
At the end of our semi-dormant limited company's financial year we are obliged to have an annual general meeting. So after a review of the past year's activity (not a lot) and the plans for the future (ha-ha!) the Company Secretary (Tony) and Company Director (me) sat down for the Company Christmas Dinner. The venue: La Gartempe restaurant. The menu: bruscetta then veggie puff pastry parcel with roasties, followed by stirfried pineapple with coconut and strawberry parfait. Parfait indeed.
We're feeling lucky to be living here. The present weather is clear with blue sky days and sparkly starry nights, and cold, cold, cold. Almost the shortest day now. This morning we had the annual visit from the travelling wine salesman, a polite gentle man bringing samples to try and encouragement to buy. We spent far more than we can afford, but at least we'll be well supplied with wine after the January delivery! He's looking to recruit someone to do the same job in England.
