Living and Building a home in the heart of France
30th August 2007
Taking advantage of the last days of the school holidays, Ally and Jacqueline confidently rode the horses several kilometres through leafy lanes, for a dip in our pool.. ....the girls, not the horses!
Don't look now, but there are two enormous creatures clopping up the drive....!
The girls made the garden of the gîte into a corral, gave them a bucket of water and let them graze our lawn. It was really bizarre to see these very large animals browsing in our garden! They seemed happy enough, especially when given a few windfall apples to munch. I was much impressed by how the girls handled them too.
It's not a bad life here for horse-mad teenage girls.
