Vaux-sur-Mer
Around the headland, this fabulous beach stretched out, backed by a wide promenade, some very smart houses and a smattering of restaurants overlooking the bay. Absolutely gorgeous, and hardly anyone about.
This is easily as attractive as the South of France, the Mediterrean coast, but more peaceful, more natural and a lot less expensive. We like.
Sadly there was nothing on the menu at this poolside restaurant that we vegetarians could eat, so instead we had a pannini from a beach café alongside, under the pine trees.
