Medieval Fête in Rancon
I'd been looking forward to this event - a festival of all things medieval in the seriously old village of Rancon.
OK, so not everything was medieval... like this chap's mobile phone...
Cooking pots on a campfire, trestle tables under canvas, lunch in the shade.
And this knight cooked meat on ye olde griddle.
Lunch was the main event, and finding somewhere in the shade to eat it.
Basket weaving, pottery, sign-writing calligraphy, skills being demonstrated and tried out.
I don't know which tribe this bunch came from, but their costumes were brilliant.
