This event is spread around the town, in the market square, up the hill in the old town and in marquees. We had to buy some more plants for the garden, well it would be rude not to.
In Montmorillon.
Of course the biggest crowd was around the wine stall.
I love these wonky bird houses and bug hotels.
On the old bridge was an artisan basket-maker, stripping leaves from the reeds using a slotted plank. Lovely baskets.
A portable forge, heating iron white-hot and hammering into shape. Health and Safety? Pah!
We bought a bagful of these for summer-long blooming.
It would be so easy to spend a fortune here.
